How Caperton Cabinets started.
I'm Kevin. I built my first set of cabinets in 2018 out of necessity.
We were building our own house and needed cabinets. Every shop we called was 6 months out. So I built them myself on a cheap job site table saw in my garage with a palm sander and a lot of figuring it out as I went.
Over the next few years we were doing remodels for customers and kept running into the same problem. Long lead times, inconsistent quality, cabinets that didn't quite fit. So we started building our own for those jobs too. Customers noticed. Cabinets became a bigger and bigger part of what we did until eventually we made a decision. Drop most of the remodel work, focus on cabinets, and do it right.
That job site table saw is long gone. We run a growing shop in Greenwood with professional grade equipment, a crew I trust, and a process we've built from the ground up. Every cabinet still gets the same attention it did when I was building them by myself, because our name is on every single one.
